The day after President’s Day was a non-school day for Denver Public Schools, so the kids begged me to take them to Jump Street. It’s a place with wall-to-wall trampolines, including angled ones next to the wall. They had a blast and were totally worn out after the two hours.

A few weeks ago we went snowshoeing at Brainard Lake, northwest of Boulder. It was an unseasonably nice day for February (but then again, Denver just broke the record for the driest Feb. on record…) Good times, good times…

A few weeks ago Keelan was admitted to the International Prepatory Magnet program at our local middle school. This is an advanced program of study that is similar to the International Baccalaureate program that Keelan and Malia have been learning at Bradley Elementary, the only IB school in Denver Public Schools.
The admission process involved an application, submission of standardized test scores, an in-person test, and an official interview. We’re proud that he decided to go for it and that he was admitted!
